    The Stretch Zone Method® addresses flexibility from a neurological perspective. This is achieved by dealing with the muscle’s nervous tension (“tonus”) to reach an optimal active range of motion. The goal is not to make a person more “flexible” or “elastic,” but rather enable you to move more functionally by re-establishing a more ideal resting muscle tone. By re-educating the associated nerve-muscle reflex, the Stretch Zone Method® leads to movement becoming easier and more efficient.

    Rather than creating soreness by pulling on our limbs to extremes, the Stretch Zone Method® works through the nervous system to achieve lasting gains in flexibility and range of motion. The method rests on the notion that changing and re-educating our muscle’s nervous energy is a major factor in unleashing our body’s intended function. This nervous energy, known as the stretch reflex, is our body’s automatic defense against the dangers of over-stretching. Any movement that goes too fast or too far, or is held for too long, will cause your body to resist with the stretch reflex. Once the reflex is activated, your body has effectively said “no more” and resists the stretch. Any further attempt at stretching becomes counter productive and may even cause long term damage.

    Scott McCall

    General Manager

    Scott is a former Certified Athletic Trainer that has worked with high school, collegiate and professional athletes. He completed his BA at Catawba College in Sports Medicine and his MS in Exercise & Sport Science at The University of Arizona. Scott is an avid golfer, originally from New Jersey who has resided in Myrtle Beach since 2016.


    Cody Moore

    Assistant Manager

    Cody has 10+ years of personal training experience after studying exercise science at Radford University. Cody is a certified strength coach & exercise physiologist. Cody's prior experience includes two years in injury prevention for workers in intensive labor positions before moving to Myrtle Beach. In his spare time he enjoys hiking, camping and traveling. He is a self proclaimed chocolate chip cookie connoisseur.


    Tyler Mosley

    Stretch Practitioner

    Tyler is originally from Pittsburgh, PA and moved to Myrtle Beach in 2017 to pursue his studies in Exercise and Sport Science at Coastal Carolina University. Tyler obtaining his Stretch Practitioner certification in 2020 through Stretch Zone and is also certified as a personal trainer. In his spare time he enjoys working out and and following the Baltimore Ravens.


    Jess LaVertu

    Stretch Practitioner

    Jessica is from Norfolk, VA and moved to the Myrtle Beach area in 2017 and received a BS degree in Exercise & Sport Science in 2021. She is a certified personal trainer with over 3 years of experience. She is passionate about personal growth/development, health & wellness and helping others.


    Sarah Barrentine

    Front Desk Coordinator

    Sarah is originally from Covington, GA and moved to Myrtle Beach at the beginning of 2021. She has become very passionate about health and wellness. In her free time, she enjoys going to the gym and taking her dog Bear to the beach.


    Paige Lentz

    Stretch Practioner

    Paige is originally from Williamsport, PA. She is a 2021 Coastal Carolina University graduate with a Bachelors in Exercise & Sports Science. She plans to continue her education and obtain her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. In her free time Paige enjoys hiking, camping, fishing, and kayaking.
